The Revd Aidan Platten
Aidan joined St Mark's as Vicar in 2011.
Aidan studied and trained for the Priesthood at Ripon College Cuddesdon and served his curacy at St Mary's, Woodbridge in Suffolk. From there he moved to be the Chaplain to the Bishop of Gloucester and a Minor Canon of Gloucester Cathedral. Aidan is interested in methods of church growth and strategic development of churches, especially in how the church relates to its local and wider community. He is passionate about the worship and liturgy and music of the church and enjoys writing new liturgies for special occasions.
A prize-winning graduate of the University of Oxford and the Royal Academy of Music, Tansy has been director of music at St Mark's since September 2012. Tansy is both a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and Associate of the Royal Academy of Music and has appeared regularly on BBC radio and television and Channel 4. In addition to her work for the Royal School of Church Music as a course tutor and singing examiner, she has been Director of Music at St George's College, Weybridge since 2007 and is currently President of the MMA.
